Optimist International Oratorical Contest
The Goldsboro Optimist Club is encouraging youth under the age of 16 as of December 31, 2009, to write and recite a four to five minute speech. This contest is divided into male and female categories with savings bonds in the amounts of $200, $100, and $50 being awarded in both categories. Both male and female overall winners will go on to the district competition with the chance to win a scholarship of $2,500.

March 9, 2010. Contest will be held on
